Snow Moon Hike

Join us Saturday, January 31st 2026, for our second full moon snowshoe/hike of the year! 

This year the February full moon, known as the Snow Moon. Have you ever wondered why? This month is easy to figure out, it's because of all the snow! Did you know February is the snowiest month of the year? 

We will be gathering at the Amesbury Filling Station Saturday at 6:00 PM, before we walk across the Derek Hines Bridge to Deer Island. Once there, we will explore the trail network, being especially careful along the shore trail. Headlamps and ice spikes/cramp-ons (Yaktrax, Microspikes, etc) will be required. As the event date approaches, we will assess trail conditons and post an update through our Facebook page.
