Holiday Window Painting 2021

Description

2021 Rules: 

Window decorating is on Saturday, November 27th between 9:00 am to 4:00 PM. 

Registration is first come first served with a $10 donation to the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce per display.

  All work must be finished by 4:00 PM. Rain Date will be Saturday, December 4th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 PM. 

You do not need to be there right at 9, nor do you need to be there the whole day.

 Each artist will be assigned a 24″ x 36″ space on the outside of a window at an Amesbury business. Painters will be notified of the specific business location on Friday 11/26. 

Painters must use the Paint kits supplied by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce. These kits will be available at the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce Office at 5 Market Square starting at 9:00 AM on 11/27. Each kit will include 9 paint colors and 3 different sized brushes. Painters are welcome to bring more brushes, but no other paint . Kits will include water for cleaning, newspaper, and paper plates for mixing any colors. 

All paintings must be in good taste and have a Winter/Holiday theme. 

Paintings cannot include acts of violence, nudity, racially insensitive activities, political themes, or drugs. 

Please use newspaper or bring your own drop cloth to protect building and sidewalk. Sill, wall, and sidewalk areas below window MUST be covered and taped with the provided newspaper or covering provided by the painter. DO NOT use duct tape or packing tape to affix newspaper/cloth covering. Painters tape is recommended.

 Once painters have completed painting, remove tape and newspaper as well as all trash and supplies which you have brought. All work needs to be free hand and done by the children. Each painter's name will be displayed next to their work. 

All painters MUST return to the business between December 26 - January 2 to clean their window. Be respectful of business owner, property and customers arriving to the business. 

First prize will be awarded in 4 different categories: grades 1-3, grades 4-6, grades 7-9 and grades 10-12. Winners will be notified via email.
