Summer of Love Community Picnic
Summer of Love Community Picnic
Saturday, September 10, 2022 (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Join Sacred Earth Sanctuary fin celebrating Kristina Ellery's Birthday at lake Gardner. Kristina is using her birthday as an opportunity to bring together the Sacred Earth community for casual picnic to meet each other and learn more about the growing Sacred Earth Sanctuary.
Let's Celebrate!
LOCATION:
Lake Gardner
79 High Street Amesbury, MA
PARKING:
There is a small parking lot on location, however, parking is limited so please coordinate carpooling if possible.
SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:
Blanket & Chairs
There are a few picnic tables but not enough to accommodate everyone. Be prepared to set up on the grass or in the sand.
Food & Drink
It is a picnic, so we will not be providing food or drink. There may be a food/beverage truck on site, but we have not confirmed anything yet. An email will be sent with any updates as we get closer.
Instruments
Although there will be a 60's playlist in the background, a 60's picnic would not be complete without a few guitars, bongos, and tambourines!
Odds and Ends
Bug Spray, Sunscreen, Bathing Suit (if weather permits) Kayak, Paddle Board, Floaties, Life Jacket, Towel, Frisbee, and if anyone has Cornhole and is willing to bring it to share, please let us know!
**Please Note**
While the City of Amesbury has approved our event, please keep in mind that Lake Gardner will remain open to the public, and any unfavorable behavior as the result of our guests, will not be tolerated. This is also a family friendly event, so please try to be mindful of our song singing and topics of conversation.
Keeping that in mind, please review the event rules below:
EVENT RULES:
-Please remember to throw away and/or remove all trash and waste before leaving the picnic. Sacred Earth Sanctuary will have no tolerance for litter bugs.
-Illegal drugs are prohibited, and the use of alcohol is not allowed at Lake Gardner.
-There are no lifeguards. If you are planning to swim and/or partake in water activities, please exercise the appropriate safety precautions; such as floaties for young children, and life jackets for kayaking. If you participate in any water activities, you will be responsible for your own safety.
-No fires or grill use, per the Amesbury Fire Department.
-Please keep your furry friends on a leash, per the City of Amesbury.
***IF IT RAINS***
If heavy rain is in the forecast, we will either reschedule or gather at an indoor location. If the forecast is cloudy with a chance of sprinkles, we will be setting up a few pop up tents and hope for the best. Keep an eye on your email for updates.
Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many people will be attending. This will help us to determine the appropriate setup. RSVP's and questions/concerns should be sent to Rory: 603-393-7966 or stephens.rory@yahoo.com
Thank you so much! We hope to see you there!
